In December 2013, Ian Watkins’ glamorous life came crashing down when he was jailed for 29 years at HMP Wakefield, one of the UK’s toughest prisons. He was found guilty of a series of horrific child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins admitted to several crimes:

  • Attempted rape and sexual assault of a child under 13

  • Possessing extreme pornographic material involving animals

Two women—the mothers of the children involved—were also sentenced to 14 and 17 years in prison.
