NWS Confirms 4 Tornado in Middle Tennessee After Severe Storms

The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed four tornado touched down across Middle Tennessee following the powerful storms that swept through the region late Sunday, March 30, into the early hours of Monday.

EF-2 Tornado – Hampshire (Maury County)

  • Wind Speeds: 120 mph
  • Width: 400 yards
  • Path Length: 5.10 miles

EF-1 Tornado – Mount Pleasant (Maury County)

  • Wind Speeds: 100 mph
  • Width: 300 yards
  • Path Length: 4.10 miles

EF-0 Tornado – Fairview (Hickman/Williamson County Line)

  • Wind Speeds: 85 mph
  • Width: 150 yards
  • Path Length: 2.20 miles

EF-1 Tornado – McEwen (Humphreys County)

  • Wind Speeds: 95 mph
  • Width: 150 yards
  • Path Length: 1.7 miles

More Storm Damage Assessments Underway

NWS crews are actively surveying storm damage across Middle Tennessee, including in Perry, Maury, Humphreys, Williamson, Rutherford, and Cannon counties. These assessments aim to determine the full extent of destruction caused by the severe weather outbreak.

Residents are advised to stay updated on further reports as emergency officials continue recovery efforts and evaluate storm impacts.
