Massive No Kings Protest Erupt Nationwide Against Presidential Actions
Thousands of protesters gathered across major U.S. cities and small towns on Saturday, uniting under the banner of the “No Kings” movement to oppose what they describe as authoritarian moves by the president.
This marks the second wave of “No Kings” demonstrations held this year, with rallies organized in all 50 states and several U.S. territories. The first wave, held in June, saw nearly five million Americans joining over 2,000 marches nationwide, voicing similar concerns over the policies introduced by President Trump.
The renewed protests come amid a prolonged government shutdown, now entering its third week, and growing tensions in cities like Chicago and Portland, where the administration’s immigration enforcement measures have sparked strong local resistance.
The movement has also gained international attention, with solidarity protests held across Europe and one planned in Australia, showing the global reach of the demonstrations.
Protesters say they will continue to rally until their message is heard—calling for democracy, accountability, and limits on presidential power.
